PURPOSE:
To provide the City Council with the opportunity to review agenda items prior to the Council meetings in order to ask for clarification and to get additional information on upcoming agenda items.
BACKGROUND:
At the July 18, 2016 Work Session, City Council expressed their desire to discontinue the City Council Committee meeting structure and to hold Work Sessions on the first Tuesday of the month at 3:00 p.m. prior to the Regular Council meeting for the purpose of reviewing upcoming agenda items and to receive informational items from City staff as needed. It was also decided at that time to hold Work Sessions as needed on the third Tuesday of the month at 3:00 p.m. prior to the Regular Council meeting for the purpose of receiving informational items from staff. City Council adopted an amended 2016 meeting schedule on August 6, 2016.
BUDGET IMPACT:
There will be no budget impact as a result of this change.
RECOMMENDATION / ACTION REQUESTED:
City Council is being requested to review agenda items for the next two upcoming Council meetings and to seek additional information and or changes prior to said meetings.
