PURPOSE:

To amend Greensboro Code of Ordinances Section 12-42 to reduce the membership of the Commission on the Status of Women from fifteen members to nine members.

 

BACKGROUND:

On March 14, 2016, City Council passed a resolution to reorganize the appointment procedures for Greensboro’s boards and commissions.  Among the changes, Council resolved to reduce the membership of the Commission on the Status of Women from fifteen members to nine members.  This change requires an amendment to Chapter 12 of the Greensboro Code of Ordinances.

None.

 

RECOMMENDATION / ACTION REQUESTED:

It is recommended that City Council amend Sec. 12-42 of the Greensboro Code of Ordinances to reduce the membership of the Commission on the Status of Women from fifteen members to nine members.
