PURPOSE:
The Property Management Section of the Engineering & Inspection Department is in the
Process of conveying a permanent pedestrian access easement across City owned property located at 3609 Drawbridge Parkway, Parcel #0096117 to John W. Jeffries and Barbara J. Jeffries, owners of a landlocked parcel. City Council approval is requested for the conveyance of this easement.
BACKGROUND:
Mr. Jeffries approached the City of Greensboro regarding his landlocked property located at 3603 YY Drawbridge Parkway Parcel #0096084 and requested an access easement be granted to allow him legal access to his property on Drawbridge Parkway. This Permanent Access Easement is intended and granted for pedestrian access only and not to be used or altered in the future to become a motor vehicle access easement.
The permanent pedestrian access easement will consist of approximately 8,521 Sq. Ft. (0.2 acres) along the property line of the subject city parcel. The property is zoned CD-O (Conditional District Office). The City’s Water Resources Department has reviewed the plan and approved the easement.
BUDGET IMPACT:
There is no consideration being paid for this easement.

The Property Management Section of the Engineering & Inspections Department recommends approval of this acquisition.
