PURPOSE:
The Office of Workforce Development within the Executive Department serves as the administrative entity for the Guilford County Workforce Development Board (WDB) to provide services under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). The Office of Workforce Development has an existing contract (2014-5402) with Arbor E&T, LLC, d/b/a ResCare Workforce Services to provide WIOA services to adults and dislocated workers that will expire on June 30, 2016. A resolution is needed to authorize extension of this contract.
BACKGROUND:
The Office of Workforce Development has an existing contract (2014-5402) with Arbor E&T, LLC, d/b/a ResCare Workforce Services to provide WIOA services to adults and dislocated workers that will expire on June 30, 2016.
The Office of Workforce Development will extend the existing contract through June 30, 2017 at an additional cost not to exceed $2,000,000 for the period of July 1, 2016 - June 30, 2017.
Funds have been budgeted in the Office of Workforce Development WIOA Fund in an additional amount of $2,000,000 for extension of services through this contractor.
This resolution will authorize the City to negotiate final contract modification terms and prepare a contract modification with Arbor E&T, LLC, d/b/a ResCare Workforce Services in an amount not to exceed $2,000,000 to provide FY 2016-17 WIOA Adult and Dislocated Worker services.
