PURPOSE:
The attached ordinance serves to amend various codes contained in the Local Code of Ordinances for the City of Greensboro relative to user charges for FY 16-17. A budget amendment needs to be approved by City Council to adopt this code change.
BACKGROUND:
The following amendment to the Local Code of Ordinances is associated with the adoption of the FY 16-17 Annual Budget:
1. Ordinance amending Chapter 29 of the Greensboro Code; amending water and sewer fees effective on and after July 1, 2016
BUDGET IMPACT:
The Local Code of Ordinances amendment reflects necessary changes for adjustments to FY 16-17 applicable to user fees and may be amended during the year if necessary.
RECOMMENDATION / ACTION REQUESTED:
This item did not receive the required six votes on the first reading for adoption at the June 7th meeting of Council, a majority vote of Council will be necessary for adoption of the item. It is requested and recommended that the City Council adopt the attached budget ordinance amending the Local Code of Ordinances for FY 16-17.
