PURPOSE:
City Council approval is requested to renew a Professional Services Contract with Tangible Software, Inc., dba Tangible Security Inc., for the continued development and implementation of a Cyber Security Program and to provide onsite personnel to deliver Cyber Security Support and Assessment services for 36 months (2016-2019) with an optional additional 2 years.

BACKGROUND:
The IT Department has implemented a strategically phased 5-year cyber security program. The Cyber Security Program is intended to protect the City from intrusions and cyber-attacks that aim at compromising systems and information.

Due to the ever-changing threat landscape within Information Technology, it is a common practice to outsource certain aspects of cyber security. The IT Department has been working with Tangible Software Inc. since 2014 to perform various functions such as security and risk assessments, Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance assessment and recommendations, and to improve our overall security posture. Tangible Software Inc. has been instrumental in developing a Cyber Security Program for the organization and has helped find many issues that previous companies have missed.

The Information Technology Department will work with Tangible Software Inc.'s cyber security personnel to enhance data security, availability, integrity and confidentiality through the continued development and implementation of a comprehensive Cyber Security Program.
