PURPOSE:

This resolution is to express grief at the passing of John Kenneth Sterling, on October 18, 2015.  He served as the City’s adjuster for many years.  He will always be remembered for his qualities of humor, entrepreneurship, compassion and humility.     

 

 

BACKGROUND:

John Kenneth Sterling, President of Sterling Adjustment Company, served as the adjuster for the City of Greensboro for over thirty years.  His wife, Kay Hartman Sterling and his son,

John Kenneth Sterling, II, worked with Mr. Sterling, handling automobile, general liability, law enforcement liability and other liability claims on behalf of the City of Greensboro.   

 

 

BUDGET IMPACT:                     None.

 

 

 

RECOMMENDATION / ACTION REQUESTED:

It is recommended that City Council pass the attached resolution honoring the memory of John Kenneth Sterling, President of Sterling Adjustment Company and Related Services.
