PURPOSE:
The Greensboro Police Department wishes to continue its contractual relationship with Law Enforcement Services Group PLLC dba The FMRT Group. The police department has satisfactorily employed The FMRT Group’s specialized professional services since 2009 and the department desires to continue the relationship. The new contract is for a three year period (7/1/15-6/30/18) with a total value of $255,000. The contract is presented to Greensboro City Council in accordance with current city fiscal procedures.
BACKGROUND:
The FMRT Group provides psychological assessments and assistance programs to the Greensboro Police Department. The company provides psychological/medical pre-screening to assist the City in assessing the suitability of police applicants. In addition, it offers post-offer employment psychological evaluations, fitness for duty evaluations, critical incident evaluations and trauma peer training, risk of violence assessments, and supervisory consultation and training.
BUDGET IMPACT:
The contract will be funded with Greensboro Police budget funds in the amount of $85,000 for each of the three fiscal years (three year total of $255,000) and will be paid out of account 101350204.
RECOMMENDATION / ACTION REQUESTED:
It is recommended that the City Council pass the resolution allowing the Greensboro Police Department to enter into a contract in the estimated amount of $255,000 for the period of July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2018 with Law Enforcement Services Group PLLC dba The FMRT Group.
