PURPOSE:
This service contract will provide an onsite HVAC engineer to help manage / program the day by day operations of the HVAC control systems at the Greensboro Coliseum and Greensboro Aquatic Center. This contract also covers a limited number of replacement parts related to both the HVAC and Fire Alarm systems, the annual Fire Alarm required inspection for the Coliseum, Aquatic Center and the Canada Dry office building that houses the GACVB. This contract also includes 24/7 supervised remote monitoring of all three (3) fire alarm systems.

This planned service agreement is contracted for three (3) years, starting on 7/1/2015 and would end on 6/30/2018, the annual cost will be $153,434.00 per year, payable in quarterly installments. The total cost of this contract over the next three (3) years is $460,302.00.

BACKGROUND:
The HVAC/Fire alarm systems at both the Coliseum and the Aquatic Center require a highly technical HVAC personnel to operate and service these systems. The original HVAC and Fire Alarm system that was installed in the Coliseum arena and SEC was provided and installed by Johnson Controls in 1992. The Aquatic Center HVAC and Fire alarm system was installed by Johnson Controls in 2011. Johnson Controls has provided these same services under prior contracts dating back to 1992.
