PURPOSE:
City Council approval is requested to convey a utility easement to Duke Energy in order for them to install a new electrical power service at the new location of the Westridge booster station at the Battleground water storage tank location.
BACKGROUND:
The Water Resources Department's relocated booster station needs a new electrical service installed for the facility which also requires a new transformer. Duke Energy requires an easement to install a transformer and a new underground line on the site
Since the easement is an encumbrance on City property, City Council approval is required for the transaction.
BUDGET IMPACT:
No funds are required, and there is no budget impact.
RECOMMENDATION / ACTION REQUESTED:
The Engineering & Inspections Department recommends that City council approve the conveyance of the utility easement to Duke Energy Corporation so they can install and maintain electrical service to the relocated Westridge booster station.
