PURPOSE:
To transfer funds from the Solid Waste Management Fund to the Solid Waste Capital Improvement Fund to cover expenses for the repair of the Solid Waste Transfer Station tipping floor.
 
BACKGROUND:
City Council is being requested to approve the bid received for the repair of the Solid Waste Transfer Station tipping floor and award the contract.  Funding for this project will consist of transferring appropriated funds from the Solid Waste Management Fund to the Solid Waste Capital Improvement Fund.  
 
BUDGET IMPACT:
The Field Operations Department will provide $350,000 funding in account number 554-4302-01.  A budget adjustment will be required in fund 551 Solid Waste Management to move the funds into the appropriate account.
 
RECOMMENDATION / ACTION REQUESTED:
The Field Operations Department requests City Council adopt the attached budget ordinance transferring funding to the appropriated account and approving the corresponding budget adjustment.
