PURPOSE:
Summerhill Homeowner's Association of Greensboro, Inc. (SHA) has requested an encroachment agreement to use City right-of-way in the median at the 5300 and 5301 Oldham Street. When public or private entities request to use the City's right-of-way, it is required that they secure approval by City Council.
BACKGROUND:
SHA approached the City for permission to build and install signage for the Summerhill subdivision. This is for the purpose of identifying the entrance into the community.
This encroachment has been reviewed and approved by Engineering & Inspections, Transportation, Planning, and Legal.
BUDGET IMPACT:
All expenses related to the installation, maintenance, and repair for this encroachment are the responsibility of SHA.
RECOMMENDATION / ACTION REQUESTED:
Engineering & Inspections recommends the approval of the encroachment which will allow SHA to use City right-of-way.
