PURPOSE:
Guilford County and the City of Greensboro intend to enter into two agreements with SunGard Public Sector, Inc. The first contract is an amendment to an existing agreement to clarify the software permissions of the agencies. In accordance with North Carolina law, in order for the City to enter into an inter-local agreement, City Council approval is required.
BACKGROUND:
The City and County intend to replace individual software licenses across the City of Greensboro and Guilford County Emergency Service Departments with enterprise wide software that will be administered by Guilford Metro 911. Governing board approval is needed to execute an Amendment (#1) to the current Guilford County Agreement #0247A-11/06-129 between Guilford County, the City of Greensboro and SunGard Public Sector, Inc.(formerly Sungard H.T.E, Inc.). The amendment will clarify the permissions of the agencies at present so that they may enter into agreements that consolidate current individual licenses in each agency.
