PURPOSE:
Engineering & Inspections needs City Council approval to process billing adjustments in excess of $20,000.00 when a billing error has occurred. Engineering & Inspections is requesting that Council approve an adjustment in excess of this amount for the Lynwood Lakes Water and Sewer project.
BACKGROUND:
The Lynwood Lakes Water and Sewer project is a joint City of Greensboro and Guilford County project to provide water and sewer to the Lynwood Lakes area. It is one of the projects included in the agreement dissolving the City-County water and sewer trust fund approved by Council on August 6, 2012.
An error in the amount of $38,679.21 was made in the preparation of invoice 2200185289. Guilford County was invoiced for $110,442.33 in costs for the construction of water improvements, but they are only responsible for $71,763.12 of the cost.
BUDGET IMPACT:
There is no budget impact. Funds are budgeted from previously received trust fund dollars.
RECOMMENDATION / ACTION REQUESTED:
It is recommended by Engineering & Inspections that City Council approve voiding an amount of $38,679.21 on invoice number 2200185289 to Guilford County.
