PURPOSE:
The proposed amendment to section(s) will change the avenue of citizen appeals taken from the decision of a City official concerning privilege licenses issued under Chapter 13 of the Code of Ordinances. Currently, appeals of such decisions require a quasi-judicial hearing before the City Council. The proposed amendment will send the appeal to the Board of Adjustment, which is a specialized City board that routinely processes quasi-judicial appeals.

Staff requests that City Council approve the amended ordinance section(s) as proposed.
