PURPOSE:
City Council approval is requested to authorize the City Manager to execute a contract modification in the contract (2017-5251) with Arbor E&T, LLC, d/b/a ResCare Workforce Services in the amount of $161,250 to fund Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act Adult and Dislocated Worker services through June 30, 2019.
BACKGROUND:
The Workforce Development Board/City of Greensboro has contracted with Arbor E&T, LLC, d/b/a ResCare Workforce Services to provide comprehensive workforce services for Adults and Dislocated Workers since October 2014.
Due to high demand of services, additional funds are needed in the contract in order to provide effective services to customers through the end of the contract period (June 30, 2019).
BUDGET IMPACT:
Funds for this contract modification are budgeted in the Office of Workforce Development Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act accounts. All funds to be utilized are US Department of Labor funds passed through the NC Department of Commerce. No General Revenue funds are requested.
RECOMMENDATION / ACTION REQUESTED:
