PURPOSE:
Allocations are for workforce programs administered by the City of Greensboro’s Workforce Development Department. A budget amendment needs to be approved to allow the expenditure of funds.
BACKGROUND:
1. Includes Detail Section 1 in Attachment A. Mount Zion Baptist Church has provided a donation to the Guilford Workforce Development Board in order to fund workforce initiatives in Guilford County. The Guilford WDB has been awarded funds in the amount of $5,000.
The Guilford WDB 2021 Mt Zion Fund is established in the amount of $5,000.
BUDGET IMPACT:
The attached ordinance results in an increase of $5,000 in the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act Fund Budget.
RECOMMENDATION / ACTION REQUESTED:
It is recommended and requested that the City Council adopt the attached budget ordinance establishing and/or adjusting funding in the amount of $5,000 for Workforce Development programs.
