PURPOSE:
The attached ordinance serves to amend various codes contained in the Local Code of Ordinances for the City of Greensboro relative to user charges for FY 14-15. A budget amendment needs to be approved by City Council to adopt this code change.
BACKGROUND:
The following amendment to the Local Code of Ordinances is associated with the adoption of the FY 14-15 Annual Budget:
1. Ordinance amending Chapter 6 of the Greensboro Code; amending inspection fees to be effective on and after July 1, 2014.
2. Ordinance amending Chapter 18 of the Greensboro Code; amending false alarm fees to be effective on and after July 1, 2014.
3. Ordinance amending Chapter 25 of the Greensboro Code; amending fees for solid wastes services to be effective on and after July 1, 2014.
4. Ordinance amending Chapter 26 of the Greensboro Code; amending fees for the permitting of sidewalk and driveway construction or repairs to be effective on and after July 1, 2014.
5. Ordinance amending Chapter 29 of the Greensboro Code; amending water and sewer fees effective on and after July 1, 2014
BUDGET IMPACT:
The Local Code of Ordinances amendment reflects necessary changes for adjustments to FY 14-15 applicable to user fees and may be amended during the year if necessary.
RECOMMENDATION / ACTION REQUESTED:
It is requested and recommended that the City Council adopt the attached budget ordinance amending the Local Code of Ordinances for FY 14-15.
