PURPOSE:
To approve an encroachment agreement between the City of Greensboro and Sun Capital, Inc. entered into on October 21, 2014.

BACKGROUND:
Ken Miller, Principal of Sun Capital, Inc., proposes building two brick walls along the southern boundaries of two lots located at Berkshire Lane and West Cornwallis Drive, in the Berkshire Subdivision.  These walls will be four (4) feet high and will encroach five (5) feet onto the City's right-of-way.

The walls will not affect traffic visibility because they are located outside the sight triangle. The utilities located within the encroachment area are three (3) water meters and a clean-out, which will all be removed during construction.  The sidewalk will not be affected by this encroachment.

The Department of Transportation and The Department of Engineering and Inspections approve this encroachment agreement.

Attachment A is the encroachment agreement.
