PURPOSE:
Water Resources is requesting a contract change order to the Lake Brandt Pump Station Upgrade Contract 2012-002 to upgrade water quality instrumentation and address site soil conditions, structural support column modifications, wet well issues, and modifications to the raw water intake structure. In order for the additional work to proceed, approval for a contract change order is requested.

BACKGROUND:
Contract 2012-002 was approved by City Council on June 4, 2013. The contract was awarded to Blakley Construction Services, LLC in the amount of $2,979,000.00. The contract called for upgrading Lake Brandt's raw water pump station facility. It includes furnishing and installing three vertical turbine raw water pumps, three variable frequency drives, associated piping and valves, painting, windows and doors, floor covering, structural concrete work, monorail crane and hoist system, electrical switch gear, motor control center and associated demolition.

Water Resources has identified additional work due to changes in project scope and unforeseen site conditions that are required in order to fully support the designed upgrades and improvements at the facility.
