PURPOSE:
The attached ordinance serves to adopt the annual operating budget for the City of Greensboro for FY 14-15. A budget amendment needs to be approved by City Council to establish this budget.
BACKGROUND:
The following agenda item associated with the adoption of the FY 14-15 Annual Budget reflects changes discussed with Council during budget work sessions and includes the following:
1. The FY 14-15 Annual Operating Budget Ordinance, establishing the property tax rate for FY 14-15.
2. Resolution adopting the FY 2015-2024 Capital Improvements Program (CIP).
BUDGET IMPACT:
The ordinance establishes the annual operating budget as well as the property tax rate for FY 14-15.
RECOMMENDATION / ACTION REQUESTED:
It is requested and recommended that the City Council adopt the attached budget ordinance adopting the annual operating budget for FY 14-15.
