PURPOSE:
The Property Management Section of the Engineering & Inspections Department is in the process of taking in dedicated drainageway and open space as described on approved and recorded subdivision plats. These acceptances were reviewed and accepted by the Parks & Recreation Commission on January 2, 2015. Approval of the acceptances by City Council is requested.
BACKGROUND:
Some subdivision plats require that drainageway and open space areas be dedicated to the City and the public in order to meet planning guidelines. The City has the option of accepting these for ownership. The developers of the properties in this request were the Starmount Company and the Brown Realty Company. They have agreed to provide deeds of dedication for these properties. The indicated drainageway and open space areas on the plats below will become City owned properties.
These properties are zoned R-3 (Residential).
