PURPOSE:
The Transportation Department is seeking City Council’s approval to award the Greensboro Transit Administrative Building Janitorial Contract.
BACKGROUND:
On October 9, 2020, the Procurement Services Division conducted an open solicitation for the Greensboro Transit Administrative Building Janitorial Contract through the Greensboro E-Procurement System, the State Interactive Purchasing Site (IPS) and the North Carolina HUB Site. The solicitation yielded seventeen bids that were reviewed for responsiveness, which narrowed the considered acceptable bids to eleven. Of the eleven bids accepted, eight were from registered M/WBE firms. The eleven bids were reviewed and scored by a five party committee that consisted of Transportation, Engineering & Inspections and M/WBE employees. BUDGET IMPACT:
The Greensboro Transit Administrative Building Janitorial Contract will be funded as follows:
$ 140,400.00 total for the three year contract, $ 46,800.00 per year - 564-4531-01.5422
RECOMMENDATION / ACTION REQUESTED:
The Transportation Department recommends and requests the approval of the attached Resolution to enter into an agreement with B&B Enterprises and the City of Greensboro.
